According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 75 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in last 24 hours. The total number of cases in India stands at 724 with 17 deaths reported so far.
Union Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Aggarwal said that the government has given an order to a PSU to provide 10,000 ventilators. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has also been requested to purchase 30,000 additional ventilators in 1-2 months. 1.4 lakh companies have allowed employees to work from home to check spread of coronavirus, he said.
