Two new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in Ghaziabad, taking the total number in city to 7 so far, an official said on Thursday. In a statement, Ghaziabad’s Chief Medical Officer Narendra Gupta said that so far 102 samples have been taken in the city, of which 87 people have reported negative. The reports of 10 samples are yet to be declared. He also said that two people have been reported positive of the novel coronavirus.
Giving a further update, the official said that so far there are a total of 7 cases of coronavirus that have been reported. “Out of 7, five cases are active and two have been cured. Currently, 3 coronavirus patients are under treatment,” he added.
The death count in India has reached 15 due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus in the country. According to the latest update, a total of 651 cases of coronavirus has been reported in India so far. Union health ministry asserted that the rate of increase in the positive cases was "relatively stable" in India.
PM Modi-led central government has already announced that all international commercial passenger services will remain close till April 14, 2020. However, the cargo services have been exempted from the restrictions. Importantly, all domestic commercial flights have already been suspended indefinitely from the midnight of March 24, 2020.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Tuesday announced a complete lockdown in the country amidst rising cases of coronavirus.

It is worth mentioning here that the novel coronavirus, which originated in China, has claimed thousands of lives across the world. With no known cure so far for the coronavirus, the deadly disease has become a major issue for the entire world.
