In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, PM Modi on Wednesday urged people to follow Ayush Ministry’s advisories to improve health and enhance the immune system. Emphasising on the need to be fit, the PM added that he has been diligently practising some of the exercises such as drinking only hot water throughout the year.
In a tweet, PM Modi recommended to make Ayush Ministry’s protocol a part of lives.

The Ayush Ministry in a press release dated March 31 had suggested several measures to adopt in order to boost immunity with special reference to respiratory health. The measures it suggested includes-
- Drinking warm water throughout the day.
- Daily practice of Yogasana, Pranayama and meditation for at least 30 minutes as advised by Ministry of AYUSH (#YOGAatHome #StayHome #StaySafe)
- Spices like Haldi (Turmeric), Jeera (Cumin), Dhaniya (Coriander) and Lahsun (Garlic) are recommended in cooking.
Moreover, the total number of novel coronavirus cases in India climbed to 1,834 in the country, while the death toll rose to 41. On the global front, the confirmed cases of coronavirus has gone up to 9,00,000 with more than 45,000 deaths reported so far.
