In one of the worst Naxal attack in recent years, 25 CRPF jawans were killed in Sukma in April. Since then, search operations have been increased by the security forces.

CRPF and Jharkhand police recover massive cache of arms and ammunition from Naxal hideout

A massive cache of arms and ammunitions was recovered in a joint operation by Jharkhand police and 158 Battalion Central Reserve Police (CRPF) from a Naxal hideout in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district.

A 7.62 mm Light Machine Gun (LMG), semi-automatic US made rifle, an AK 47, a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) rifle, three Insas rifle, two 303 rifle, four 315 rifle, communication sets, magazines, around more than 3000 ammunitions of different calibers and 5100 detonators were seized in the operations.

The police received information on Saturday that Naxals were hiding in the Bagru police station area with huge amount of arms. As soon as a raid was conducted, the Naxals fled the place while huge cache of arms was left behind.
