A terrorist was today killed after a CRPF camp came under attack on Jammu-Srinagar national highwayin Kud area of Udhampur district, police said.
The camp, located about 170 kms from here, came under attack from militants, believed to be more than one in number, who were travelling in a State Road Transport Corporation bus which was stopped for checking by a joint party of CRPF and J&K police.
“One militant has been eliminated even though the search operation is on,” Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Danish Rana told PTI.
The search operation is still on and the traffic has been stopped at J&K national highway for the safety of passengers by security forces.
