New Delhi:

JD(U) leader Shyam Razak on Sunday said that Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has never compromised on corruption and soon the party will take decision on Tejashwi Yadav who is an accused in the land-for-hotels scandal.

Earlier, the crucial meeting of Janata Dal (United) MLAs began at the residence of party chief and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.

The party legislators will discuss the current political situation after RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav rejected JD(U)’s demand as the latter has been demanding resignation of Lalu’s son and Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav.

Bihar's ruling JD(U) has asked Tejashwi Yadav, an accused in the land-for-hotels scandal, to "come out with facts in public against the accusations."

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)  had already said, "there was no question" of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav's resignation in the wake of his name appearing in the CBI FIR in the land-for-hotel case.

Senior party leader Jagdanand Singh informed reporters that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had called up RJD president Lalu Prasad last night but refused to divulge what transpiredin the telephonic talks between them.

Ramping up pressure on the RJD over the corruption case against Tejashwi Yadav, the JD(U) had said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will never compromise on the issue of corruption.

"Nitish Kumar's stand on corruption is well known. He will never compromise on it," JD(U) spokesperson K C Tyagi had said.
