Cyclone Vayu LIVE Updates (Photo Source: PTI)
Cyclone Vayu, which advances towards the coastal region of Gujarat at the speed of up to 140-165 kmph, is expected to make landfall on Thursday. However, the latest bulletin, issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), states that the tropical cyclone has changed its course of direction and won't hit Gujarat, as predicted earlier. However, the system will still pass nearby from Veraval, Porbandar, Dwarka and may cause heavy rainfall, accompanied with gusty winds in the region. Meanwhile, fresh breeze has provided much-needed respite to Mumbaikars, bringing in rain and lower temperatures in the financial capital of India. The sea condition also turned turbulent off Maharashtra coast and northern parts of eastcentral Arabian Sea this morning.
