A day after taking charge as Congress President, Rahul Gandhi has invited Party MPs, Office bearers, PCC leaders and Congress Legislative Party leaders for dinner on Sunday.
Rahul Gandhi, who took over his mother Sonia as party’s 16th President on Friday, is looking to put things back in order for the Grand-Old Party from day one.
The newly elevated President is expected to discuss the strategy to strengthen the Congress party that is losing its ground and elections one after another.
Rahul will also discuss on issues that Congress will use to counter BJP during the ongoing winter session of the Parliament.

Earlier on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi took over as the 16th President of the Indian National Congress (INC) post-independence from his mother Sonia Gandhi who was leading the party for 19 long years.
Rahul took the charge at a ceremony held at the lawns of the party’s 24 Akbar Road headquarters in Delhi.
In his first speech as Party President, Rahul Gandhi fired salvo at BJP and accused the saffron party of spreading hatred in the country.
Rahul said, “Congress took India to 21st century, but Prime Minister Modi is taking the country back to the medieval times.â€
“If there is anyone who can stop what the BJP is doing, it is the 'pyara karyakarta & neta' of Congress. We are going to make Congress, grand old and young party. We will fight the politics of anger,†he said.
