Delhi gets its first Any Time Water RO Plant at Kashmere Gate Metro Station

In a bid to quench the thirst of thousands of commuters in this extremely hot weather, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) in association with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has set up its first Any Time Water RO Plant (ATW) at Kashmere Gate Metro Station.

The RO Plant has a capacity of 500 LPH (Liter per Hour) which will cater to thousands of commuters. A glass of cold RO water (300 ml) to beat the summer heat is available here at a very nominal cost of Rupee One.

The day-to-day operations of the RO plant will be managed by a women of Self Help Group (SHG) trained by Tata Power-DDL. The power discom has already formed 290 such Self Help Groups in the JJ cluster community to address the issue of unemployment and infuse the spirit of entrepreneurship development in women.

Besides, the discom will install 4 more RO Plants at DMRC stations during the current summer season. The RO plant was inaugurated by Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and Sharat Sharma, Director (Operations), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited in the presence of other senior officials of Tata Power-DDL and DMRC.
