The Delhi High Court on Monday terminated probationary judicial officer from his services.
Judicial Magistrate Nitesh Gupta, son of a sitting judge of Meghalaya High Court, failed to explain a transaction of Rs five crore in his account. Gupta was going to be promoted as Metropolitan Magistrate at the Tis Hazari Court.
The decision of his termination was taken on august 10. He was on probation since July 2016.
Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Anil Baijal approved his termination after a full court took the decision in the matter.
Under Rule 22 of the Delhi Judicial Service Rules, 1970, the services of a person on probation are liable to be terminated without citing any reason.

Gupta was slated to take charge as Metropolitan Magistrate at the Tis Hazari Court from August 14.
