Rattled by the back to back incidents of sexual assault and rape in the National Capital Region and Delhi, Education minister and Deputy Chief minister of the Delhi Government Manish Sisodiya today held a high level meeting to discuss and review the situation of security in the schools, both private and government.Â
In his address to the press Sisodia said that as a preliminary step all schools will now be required to get the police verification compleeted of all staff members within three weeks. Strict action will be taken against those who will not comply.Â
A database of all on role staff will be mainained at the web portal of the Directorate of Education in order to trace the employee and the current status of employment.Â

CCTV cameras are to be installed in almost every corner of the schools irrestive of the fact whether it is private or public. The functioning of the CCTV has to be reported to the principal of the school.Â
With regard to the shameful event of rape in a plush school in Delhi, the education minister said that every detail is being looked into and action will be taken against culprit.Â
