The national capital witnessed a warm Sunday with maximum temperature rising to 35.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was three notches above normal.
The weatherman predicted that the mercury would rise further.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 20.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, a MeT department official said.
“Day temperature settled at 35.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average. By March 28-29, the temperature is likely to cross the 38 degrees Celsius mark,” the official said.

Humidity level oscillated between 72 and 22 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted clear skies for Monday.
“Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively,” the official said.
