Digital Ramayana, Sundara Kand - II: Hanuman burns down Lanka

The Sundara Kanda is the fifth chapter of Ramayana and forms the plot of the famous Hindu epic and mainly deals with Hanuman's heroic journey to Lanka.

In first part Hanuman took a leap to reach Lanka across the ocean, where he meets Vibhishana and then Sita. He requests h, r to come along with her but refuses to go along as she wants her husband, Ram, to come and rescue her and take revenge of her insult. 

In second part of Sundara Kand, we shall take you through the Hanuman's adventures in Ashok Vatika and Ravana's court. 

After meeting Sita, Hanumana wreaks havoc in Ravan's Ashok Vatika by destroying trees. When produced in demon king's court, Hanumana tries to make him understand what a major mistake he has made by capturing Sita.

But in vain, as instead of heading to warning, Ravana orders for his tail to be set on fire. 

Hanuman escapes his bonds and jumps from tower to tower, burning the entire Lanka down. 

Soon, Hanuman gets back to Kishkindha and produces a piece of Sita's jewellery to Ram and tells him the tale of his adventures in Lanka.
