Appearing with clarification for the first time before media over recent family feud within Samajwadi Party, Sadhna Gupta, wife of Samajwadi Party mentor Mulayam Singh Yadav, said a few people misled Akhilesh Yadav, and she wants that Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) must get respect in the party.
“I don't know who misled Akhilesh, he (Akhilesh) respects Netaji and me a lot,” Sadhna Gupta said.
While talking to a news agency, she said that Akhilesh gives Netaji and her due respect, and she wants to see Akhilesh Yadav as the next chief minister of the state. She said she have been insulted a lot and would not back off.
Rejecting claims that transfer of state chief secretary was done on her behest, she said she wished to be so powerful in the political corridors.

Mulayam’s wife said that she has put effort to unite the family. She also backed Shivpal Singh Yadav, saying that the latter has no role in instigating the feud.
She also spoke about her son Prateek Yadav's political career, saying that she wants him to see as a Parliamentarian.
