External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday met Chinese counterpart Wang-Yi on the sidelines of UN General Assembly in New York. He also held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Australia, Italy, Belarus and Ukraine and discussed a variety of issues such as energy, technology and boosting bilateral ties.

During his meeting with Italian foreign minister Luigi Di Maio, both India and Italy agreed to take forward the ‘very positive’ trajectory of India-Italy ties.

With his Ukrainian counterpart Vadym Prystaiko, Jaishankar said there was a good exchange of views on various subjects including energy security, technology collaboration and business possibilities. Appreciate his positive approach to bilateral cooperation, he tweeted.

In his meeting with Belarus FM Vladimir Makei, EAM Jaishankar discussed economic collaboration possibilities and tourism between both the countries.
