It’s been an earthquake week for India has within span of three days two tremors have jolted the Indian sub-continent. The quake that hit the Myanmar-India border region yesterday night has damaged many buildings and left over 30 people injured in Manipur. There has been no casualty.
The quake was measured 6.8 on the Richter scale, which caused damages to many structures. In Assam, two persons were killed and over 70 others were injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Ministers of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and assured them every possible help. The epicenter of the quake was in Myanmar, some 100 km off the India-Myanmar border.
