It was one of the most heart-rending pictures of recent times. The Jammu and Kashmir Police shared two pictures on Monday showing SSP Srinagar Dr M Haseeb Mughal carrying the young son of his deceased colleague SHO Anantnag, Arshad Khan, in his lap during his wreath-laying ceremony in District Police Lines in Srinagar on Monday.
Arshad Khan succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS in New Delhi on Sunday after he was wounded in an encounter in J&K's Anantnag district. He was injured in Anantnag terror attack on June 12.
“A Very Powerful Image,†one of the Twitter users commented on the heartbreaking photos shared by the J&K police, while another remarked, “Heart-wrenching pics Rest in peace. @JmuKmrPolice  brave heart soldiers.â€Â

Forty-year-old Khan was taken to Delhi after his condition deteriorated but doctors could not save his life. Five CRPF personnel were killed and three others were injured when their patrol party was attacked by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.
Terrorists carried out a stand-off firing attack at KP Road in Anantnag about 4:50 pm on Wednesday.
Among those killed were are ASI Ramesh Kumar (Jhajjar, Haryana), ASI Nirod Sarma (Nalbari, Assam), CT Satendra Kumar (Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh), CT Mahesh Kumar Kushwaha (Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh) and CT Sandeep Yadav (Dewas, Madhya Pradesh).
