Two terrorists gunned down in forest area of Anantnag's Larnoo in J&K

An encounter broke out on Tuesday morning between terrorists and security forces in forest area of Anantnag's Larnoo, the Army said.

"Two militants have been killed so far in an anti-insurgency operation in Larnoo area of Kokernag in Anantnagdistrict," an Army official said. He said the operation was in progress when last reportscame in. The identities of the slain militants were yet to beascertained. 

On Monday, the gunbattle took place after security forces launched a search operation in Zuhama village of Chadoora following information about presence of militants in the area, a police spokesman said. He said the search operation turned into an encounter when militants, believed to be two, opened fire on security forces.
