New Delhi:

Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul’s wife, Dangwimsai Pul, on Thursday withdrew her letter to Chief Justice of India JS Khekar seeking CBI probe into her husband’s death.

On the judicial side, the Supreme Court has no business to deal with her letter, she said. She also said that her letter should have been dealt with on the administrative side.

Representing Dangwimsai, senior counsel Dushyant Dave indicated that she may reach out to Vice President Hamid Ansari to look into the matter as the suicide note left by her husband finds a mention of President Pranab Mukherjee.

In her letter to Chief Justice Khehar, Dangwimsai had alleged that politicians and a few higher judiciary functionaries were involved in corruption.

Dangwimsai was allowed to withdraw her letter by a bench of Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel and Justice Uday Umesh Lalit. They should recuse from hearing the matter as the same cannot be heard on the judicial side, her counsel Dushyant Dave said.

Kalikho Pul was found dead on August 9 last year and an alleged suicide note was recovered from his official residence in Itanagar. Dangwimsai had approached Chief Justice of India to seek permission to lodge an FIR on the basis of the suicide note.
