Expelled BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui meets UP CM Adityanath in Lucknow

Expelled BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui on Monday met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the latter’s official residence.

Of late, Siddiqui was shown the door by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) levelling charges of corruption. The party had also expelled his son Afzal.

Last week, Naseemuddin Siddiqui had alleged that Mayawati had demanded Rs 50 crore from him while also accusing her of having made objectionable remarks against Muslims.

At a crowded press conference here, an angry Siddiqui had levelled allegations against his former political boss Mayawati and some other BSP leaders claimed that he had so much material that it could cause an "earthquake". He had also claimed that there was a threat to his life.

Rebutting point-wise the charges levelled against him by at the time of his expulsion yesterday, Siddiqui had played six audio clippings of his telephonic conversations with Mayawati to back his allegation that money had been demanded from him.

Siddiqui had said he possessed 150 such audio clippings.

"She (Mayawati) was sore after the dismal showing of the BSP in the recent Assembly elections and termed Muslims as betrayers for not voting for the party," Siddiqui had alleged. (With PTI Inputs)
