External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who underwent a kidney transplant at AIIMS on December 10, has been discharged from the hospital.
Earlier on Monday, JP Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, visited Sushma and also met the team of doctors.
Sushma was reviewed by a team of specialists, which included Transplant Surgeons, Nephrologist, Pulmonologist, Endocrinologist for her post discharge advice regarding medications.
Sushma has been advised to restrict visitors for next 3 months at home and office to minimise the chances of infection.
“We will continue to review her progress over next several weeks,” said Professor M C Misra, Director, AIIMS, expressing happiness over the recovery.
