Faggan Singh Kulaste, the Union Minister of State for Steel, was lucky to escape unhurt a car crash on Monday when his Innova, which he was travelling in, collided with a speeding Scorpio coming from the opposite direction in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh.

The mishap took place near Mandla Niwas road at Madhya Pradesh's Bawalia village this morning. However, any untoward incident was averted in the incident and all thanks to the driver's intellect and sagacity at the moment. Locals in the region alleged that frequent accidents have been taking place in the region due to lots of curves and turning points on the Mandla Niwas road.

To everyone's surprise, Kulaste, however, cited some supernatural power as the reason behind the accident, showing his belief on superstitious practices. The minister claimed that earlier too one man had lost his life in a similar accident in the region and that the place is said to be dominated by some supernatural powers like ghosts and spirits.

In May 2019, Kulaste has been given the post of Minister of State in the Ministry of Steel in the 17th Lok Sabha under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP leader represented Mandla Lok Sabha seat from 1996 to 2009 and was also a MoS in the Atal Vihari Vajpayee government.

After losing to Congress leader Basori Singh Masram in 2009, he was elected to Rajya Sabha and regained the seat in 2014, defeating his Congress rival Omkar Markam.
