Fatwa issued against woman for teaching Yoga in Ranchi

A fatwa has been issued against a Yoga teacher for teaching Yoga in Jharkhand’s Ranchi, news agency ANI reported.

Speaking on the issue, Rafia Naaz, the Yoga teacher said “I have received a lot of threats, I am thankful to the State Govt for providing security. I will not be scared and will continue with what I am doing.”

Backing the Yoga teacher, Shia Cleric Maulana Saif Abbas said “Some people have made religion a joke, what is wrong if some woman teaches Yoga? Protesting this is highly condemnable.”
