More details are awaited.
The unfortunate incident comes at least two days after a fire broke out in Olypub, the iconic resto-bar at Park Street in Kolkata. The fire took place at around 5 pm when the restobar’s ground and mezzanine floor was buzzing with customers. All the patrons were immediately evacuated out of the restaurant and none were hurt. Incidentally, on November 2014, a fire had broken out in the mezzanine floor of the Olypub and due to which the restobar was shut for Moharram.
Previously, on May 14 this year, a massive fire had broken out at the Vedic Village Spa Resort, which is about 20 minutes away from the Kolkata international airport.
