Taking first step in wake of Pathankot attack, Pakistan Government has decided to form a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe terrorist attack Pathankot airbase.

Pakistan’s national media have reported that Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief Aftab Sultan to form a joint investigation team to probe the Pathankot terror incident, comprising Inter-Services Intelligence ( ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI).

As per reports, the decision to form a joint investigation team was discussed between Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Raheel Sharif.

The pressure to take action was mounting high on Pakistan after US intervened and ask expected the former to take action. Nawaz Sharif too had promised a sw2ift action after the incident.
