While the thought of old age institutes makes us remember some poignant tales of aged people across the country, Jaipur’s Prem Niketan Old Age home has set a heart-melting example for others.
Residents of this old age home are not left to die alone, they are not ones who are neglected by their own children, rather a group of grey-haired love to stay together at Prem Niketan and are enjoying the last days of their lives.
While Prem Niketan has given retired IIS officer Sharat Chandra Bhaskar Joshi reasons to smile even after the death of his wife, 35 other retired government officers like L.N. Gupta have eagerly chosen the institute to live happily till the last day of their lives.

Retired IAS officer L.N. Gupta left his family behind for some extremely different reasons. Gupta became a part of Prem Niketan family in order to take care of his diseased wife peoperly and is still living there with a few elderly friends after the death of his wife.
On the professional front, Mr. Gupta has worked as Home Secretary, Finance Secretary and collector of three districts including Jaipur.
People now a days are busy to deal with every-day challenges in this fast-changing world and fail to spend quality times with their families and parents. Prem Niketan has come forward for those lonely seniors who crave for a jovial life, surrounded by their near and dear ones but fail to fulfil their desires.
