Former French prez Nicolas Sarkozy congratulates PM Modi on poll win, note ban

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Saturday and congratulated him on the BJP's success in the recent assembly elections. 

Sarkozy also congratulated the Prime Minister for the success of demonetisation exercise, the PMO said in a statement. 

Modi congratulated Sarkozy on the publication and success of his latest book, 'Tout pour la France'. The two leaders discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest, the statement added.
