Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited former prime minister and BJP veteran Atal Bihari Vajpayee at AIIMS where the latter is admitted for routine check-up and investigations.
The 93-year-old leader, who has been ailing for long, was admitted to the hospital on doctors' advise and will be under the supervision of AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria, a BJP statement said.
Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, HM Rajnath Singh and senior BJP leader LK Advani met Vajpayee's family members at the hospital and enquired about his wellbeing, official sources said.

The BJP stalwart was the prime minister of India from 1998 and 2004. As his health deteriorated, he slowly withdrew from public life and has been confined to his residence for many years.
