Four labourers died due to suffocation in a fire that broke out in a shoe factory in New Delhi’s Sultanpuri area on Monday.
According to police, a blaze started at the Raja Parki factory located in Sultanpuri around 7 AM.
“Nine fire tenders were engaged to douse the fire,” a police officer said.
He added that around 12 labourers were working in the factory when the fire started. “Four labours succumbed during treatment at Sanjay Gandhi hospital,” police added.
The police have yet not identified the labourers killed in the accident.
“We are trying to find the reasons behind the fire in the factory,” said a fire officer.
