The state HM said that those probing the murder of Gauri Lankesh have zeroed down on the suspects and it won't take much time before they are booked.

Reddy referred to previous two murders of Narendra Dabolkar and Communist leader and author Govind Pansare who were murdered in Maharashtra and said that unlike these cases the SIT heare has clue as to who the murderers are.

The process of collecting evidence is on, said the state Home Minsiter. Gauri Lankesh was murdered shooting at point blank range by unknown assailants on September 5.

As far as the murder investigation of Gauri Lankesh goes, the SIT has released the sketches of two suspects, along with the footage obtained from CCTV cameras installed near the slain journalist's house.

The 21-member SIT released the sketches, prepared on the basis of information collected from witnesses, and the CCTVfootage more than five weeks after she was killed.

Around 200-250 people have been questioned in connection with the Gauri Lankesh murder investigation.

"We have also ruled out any professional rivalry behind Lankesh's killing. In other words, no journalist was involvedin it. But, all other angles (including Naxal and personal) are being probed," said SIT chief BK Singh in an earlier interaction with the press.
