Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday slammed the Aam Admi Party (AAP) for playing politics over rising pollution. During his speech in the Lok Sabha, the cricketer turned politician said that the state of Delhi is in the state of emergency and need a long term solution to fight the crisis.
“The state can no longer get away with gimmick like Odd-Even and banning construction sites. We need long term sustainable solutions and stop the blame game. It's time to own up and act responsibly,” Gautam Gambhir said.
“The topic of discussion (pollution) is something that affects everyone irrespective of our caste, creed, age & religion. It's affecting us while we stand and talk about it in Parliament. It's high time we stop politicising this issue,” he added.
