Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders including West Bengal party president were manhandled by miscreants in Darjeeling on Thursday.
The attack forced the BJP leaders and West Bengal party president Dilip Ghosh to abandon a scheduled public meeting.
Ghosh was to address a public meeting at an auditorium in Darjeeling but had to take shelter at police station after the attack.
Police said, Ghosh and his aides were chased and beaten till they reached the police station.
Ghosh has accused Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) sousted leader Binoy Tamang and the Trinamool Congress behind the attack.
