Greater Noida: Newly married woman allegedly runs away with cash and jewellery from husband's house

A newly married woman has allegedly run away with cash and jewellery from her husband's house in Latifpur village, police said.

The husband's family has lodged a FIR at Dankaur Police station on Monday. "Manhunt has been launched to trace the woman cheat and her gang," police said.

According to the police, Manu had married the accused Geeta at a temple in Firozabad a week ago. The middleman had taken Rs 1 lakh from the man.

On Sunday, Geeta's relatives came and took her to her parents' home. On Monday, when Manu went to Firozabad to bring his wife back, he found no one was there and their phone numbers were found switched off, police said.
