Terrorists on Saturday hurled a grenade on the CRPF party in the Kawdara area of Srinagar in Kashmir. Security forces have cordoned the area and search operations are underway. This is the first terrorist attack in Srinagar in the year 2020. Further details are awaited.
"Terrorists lobbed a grenade on deployed CRPF troops in Kawdara, Srinagar which exploded near a transformer. No loss of life or injury reported," reported ANI. Several vehicles were hit by the shrapnels, a police official said.
Earlier in December, three old grenades and some ammunition were recovered by the police in the border belt of Jammu district.
During digging of land in R S Pura belt, three grenades and 35 rounds of ammunition were found, they said.
