Congress Party on Thursday decided not to attend GST midnight session on June 30. Congress party leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi informed that the decision has been taken during a meeting of party leaders.
“Congress has decided not to attend GST midnight session on June 30 in Parliament,” Chaturvedi said.
It is said that the grand old party had a few objection on the provisions of GST. DMK, one of the major allies of Congress, also decided not to participate in the session.
TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had already announced to oppose the session saying that the nation is not ready to accept the current format of GST and demanded six-month time to implement it in the state.
