Gujarat assembly polls 2017: Rahul Gandhi says Congress will listen people’s 'Mann ki Baat' if voted to power

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann ki Baat”, saying that the Congress party will hear people’s 'Mann ki Baat' and run the government accordingly if voted to power in Gujarat.

“When Congress comes to power we will not tell you our 'mann ki baat', we will listen to your 'mann ki baat' and run the government accordingly,”he said.

He charged BJP, saying that there are paid workers of the saffron party who speak against him, but the people of Gujarat know the veracity and the nation would also come to know about the same soon.

While addressing a poll rally in Mehsana, he said two sons of Gujarat -Mahatma Gandhi and Vallabh Bhai Patel- threw out Britishers from India.

He said, “Two sons of Gujarat threw out the British from India. Mahatma Gandhi ji and Sardar Patel ji.”

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi offered prayers at Bahuchara Ji Temple near Mehsana.

Rahul said that he is a strong devotee of Lord Shiva.
