New Delhi:

A day after Narendra Patel, a close aide of Hardik Patel, claimed of being offered Rs 1 crore to join Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari has demanded an FIR to be lodged against Gujarat BJP president on alleged bribery of Patidar leaders to change loyalty on Monday.

The Congress spokesperson has also demanded a judicial enquiry on the claims made by the Patidar leader Narendra Patel.

Tewari during a press conference said that the allegations of bribing Patidar leaders are not being made by any political party.

“The way BJP is allegedly bribing Patidar leaders in Gujarat is a black spot in democracy,” said Tewari.

He added that the BJP is letting no stones unturned to win the elections.

“BJP has lost grounds in the state and making all attempts to win the forthcoming elections,” added Tewari.

The Congress leader also claimed that the BJP is trying to run away from election.

Tewari also said, “The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has insulted 6 crore voters by saying if BJP does not win the elections funds and sanctions will be stopped.”

“This is the biggest hit on a federal structure,” added Tewari.

The Congress spokesperson also demanded the Election Commission to announce election dates to the earliest.

“The Election Commission should announce the election and enforce model code of conduct to stop such incidents.”

Narendra Patel, a close aide of Hardik Patel, has alleged that he was offered Rs 1 crore to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a press conference on Sunday late night in Ahmedabad. Another Paitdar leader Nikhil Savani on Monday morning announced to quit the saffron party and alleged the same as Narendra.
