Counting of votes for Gujarat Rajya Sabha polls was stalled for some time after BJP claimed two more Congress MLAs violated election rules by showing ballots to unauthorised people. However, it resumed after some time.
Earlier, Congress' demand to reject the votes of 2 MLAs who cross-voted for BJP and showed it to Amit Shah ended with Election Commission deciding to quash the votes on Tuesday night.Â
The decision has been taken on the basis of similar judgements in the past. Congress had filed a complaint with EC.
The voting for the crucial Rajya Sabha polls completed on Tuesday in which BJP’s Amit Shah and Smriti Irani also won Gujarat.Â
