New Delhi:
BJP MLA Nalin Kotadiya admitted that he has voted for the Congress party. He wrote on Facebook that 14 people were killed during Patidar agitation which forced him not to vote for the saffron party.
"Seeing the pain of 14 youth who died during Patidar agitation I voted against BJP," he wrote on Facebook.
He was the lone BJP MLA who voted for the grand old party. The cross-voting has helped Congress leader Ahmed Patel in securing vital 44 votes.
The voting had taken place on Tuesday where 176 MLAs had exercised their franchise where two votes were quashed by Election Commission as the two Congress MLAs showed it to BJP president Amit Shah instead to their polling agent.
