At least two terrorists were killed on Monday in an early morning encounter which broke out in Molu-Chitragam area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. The identity of the terrorists are yet to be ascertained. The patrolling party of Army’s 44 RR was moving in armoured vehicles when terrorists fired towards the vehicles, according to sources.

Earlier, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Dragad Sugan area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. Additional reinforcements of Army and Special Operation Group of police were rushed to the encounter site.
On Thursday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Danger Pora area of Sopore in Baramulla. Earlier, Army’s 22 RR and SOG have launched a cordon-and-search operation at Bunpora area of Danger Pora village following specific information about the presence of the terrorists inside a residential house.
The authorities had suspended internet services in Sopore town as a precautionary measure in wake of the search operation.
