"What goes around, comes around," seems the best fit saying for Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Security at Panchkula court has been tightened ahead of the hearing of two murder cases against the self-styled Godman, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
Dera manager Ranjit Singh murder case:
At one point of time, Ranjit Singh was Gurmeet Ram Rahim's chief aid. Ranjit was killed on July 10, 2002, by Dera Chief's men. He was the brother of one of the women who was raped by Gurmeet and was killed on the suspicion that he must have leaked the anonymous letter written by one of the rape survivors to the then Prime Minister (PM) Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Â
Murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati:Â
Editor and owner of Hindi language evening daily Poora Sach (Full Truth), Ram Chander Chhatrapati is also one among those who featured in the hit list of Gurmeet Ram Rahim. In his daily Ram Chander Chhatrapati published the anonymous letter written by rape survivors in the Dera. In the night of October 24, he was shot at point-blank range by unknown assailants outside his residence. He died four weeks later.
