Rs 2 lakh reward has been announced by Gurugram police for anyone giving information of the men behind the gang-rape of a woman from north-east last week.

The police have made the appeal after failing to find out clues to trace three men who are allegedly involved in abducting the 26-year-old from Gurugram and raping her in a car. Later, she was thrown out from the car in Najafgarh.

Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said, “A reward of Rs 2 lakh has been announced for anyone who will give information leading to the arrest of the criminals involved in raping the north east girl.”

The young woman was kidnapped from Gurugram’s Sector 17 when she was returning to her paying guest accommodation after watching a movie with a friend in Delhi’s Connaught Place.

Despite having a sketch of one of the accused, police could not find any concrete clue to trace him.
