A Mirage 2000 trainer fighter aircraft of the HAL crashed at Yemlur in Bengaluru on Friday morning. According to sources, the Mirage developed a technical snag right before take off and hit the wall near the Neal LCA gate at Old HAL airport in Yamalur. Though both the pilots managed to eject, both of them succumbed to their injuries.

The Mirage 2000 is a French multirole, single-engine fourth-generation jet fighter manufactured by Dassault Aviation.
The incident just comes days after a Jaguar aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed near Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. The IAF has already ordered a probe into the crash and investigations are underway.
