Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stand on regional cooperation and peace. PM Modi on Tuesday gave Pakistan ultimatum to walk away from terrorism, if it wants peace in the region. 

PM Modi, who was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the India’s international geopolitical conference - Raisina Dialogue 2017, said, “India cannot walk the path of peace alone, Pakistan will have to walk away from terrorism, for there to be peace in region.”

Standing by PM Modi’s remark, former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai said, “(I) totally approve and (am) aligned with PM Modi's remarks on vision that India offers in changing world. We cannot have peace without cooperating together to fight extremism,” he added, “One country cannot forever stop us from getting peace.”

Hamid Karzai also stressed on the regional cooperation during his address, “The new normal will not be a conflictual multilateral world but a cooperative multilateral world.” 

“We are grateful to India for being at the forefront of assistance to Afghanistan,” he added.
