Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls 2017: BJP prez Amit Shah announces Prem Kumar Dhumal as party's CM candidate

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Tuesday announced senior leader Prem Kumar Dhumal as the party’s CM candidate for Himachal Pradesh.

While addressing a poll rally in Kangra, Shah made the announcement and put all speculations to rest. Earlier, Jaitley had said,”One of our very experienced leaders will be the Chief Minister.”

Union Minister JP Nadda called PK Dhumal and congratulated him for being elected as BJP's CM candidate for Himachal Pradesh.

The BJP president hit out at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, saying that the latter asked Modi government’s last three years account but did not tell people what Congress has done in several decades.

Shah attacked chief minister Virbhadra Singh over murder and rape of minor girl, Gudiya, in Kotkhai.
