Eight activists of the banned SIMI break from the Bhopal Central Jail by killing a security guard and scaling the prison wall with the help of bed sheets. The Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activists also killed a jail security guard and later scaled the jail walls with the help of bed sheets, he said.
How it happened
# On Sunday midnight, activists of banned SIMI escaped from the jail between 2-3 am.
# The banned activists killed the head guard by slitting his throat with steel plate and glass after overpowering him.
# After that they scaled the prison wall with blankets tied together into a rope.
# SIMI activists who had escaped from Khandwa jail were also involved in the incident.
# On Oct 2, 2013 seven terrorists broke the wall of the toilet to escape the Khandwa jail.
# After the Khandwa jailbreak, 30 terrorists of SIMI kept in different jails of MP were brought together in Bhopal jail.
# Abu Faizal Khan, Ejazuddin Azizuddin, Aslam Ayyub, Amzad, Zakir, Sheikh Mehboob and Aabid Mirza had escaped from Khandwa Jail on Oct 2013. However Aabid was arrested by police after some time.
# Abu Faizal, Irfan Nagauri, and Khalid Ahmed were arrested by ATS in an encounter near Sendhwa Plateau on 25th December 2013.
