New Delhi:

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the Vijay Mallya issue.

Rahul sought an answer from PM Modi and Jaitley, saying how Vijay Mallya can steal Rs 90,000 crore and leave the country easily. He cited government’s initiative to bring back black money to attack the central government.

“Question is how did a man who stole Rs. 9000 crore left the country? Neither Modi ji nor Arun ji gave an answer in the Parliament. Arun Jaitley gave such a long speech, but did not answered my questions. They talk about bringing back black money, then how did they allow this?,” he said.

“PM spoke in both houses of Parliament but he did not answer a single question on 'Fair & Lovely' scheme,” said the Congress vice president.

He alleged that the government doesnot allow the Opposition to speak and slammed Modi for not taking up such issues.

“Government does not allow us to speak. PM does not like to discuss these issues,” Rahul Gandhi on Vijay Mallya issue
