Exactly a month after a 24-year-old engineer committed suicide on a video call, a 20-year-old engineering student on Wednesday evening hanged himself to death on a video call allegedly due to a relationship issues in Hyderabad, police said.

The matte surfaced after the video went viral on social media on Friday.

Police said, the deceased Ajmeer Sagar was studying at an engineering college at Sanathnagar. He was living with his sister.

According to reports, Sagar liked a 17-year-old girl, but she did not accept his proposal and not did his parents accepted the relationship. On Wednesday morning, when Sagar was alone at home, he messaged the girl to connect through a WhatsApp video call, as he wanted to prove her that he could kill himself for his love.

Police added that the engineer had turned on another mobile application to record the screen. In the video, one can she the girl with her friend at the time he committed suicide.

An officer of Hyderabad Police told the media that a complaint in connection with Sagar’s suicide was received on Wednesday. “We have seized the mobile and is being sent to forensic lab for analysis,” the officer added.
