Hyderabad ISIS module: NIA arrests one more accused, sends him to judicial custody for seven days

Six months after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted an ISIS module in Hyderabad, the agency has arrested one more accused Mohammed Irfan for his role in the ISIS terror conspiracy module. NIA Special Court has sent Mohammed Irfan in judicial custody for seven days.

Six months after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted an ISIS module in Hyderabad, the agency has arrested one more accused Mohammed Irfan for his role in the ISIS terror conspiracy module. NIA Special Court has sent Mohammed Irfan in judicial custody for seven days.

NIA investigation has revealed that Mohd Irfan along with the other accused took part in searching of hideouts, for their physical training. Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdahe had specifically searched for safe house in the outskirts of Hyderabad along with another accused Muzaffer Hussain Rizwan.

Investigation also revealed that Mohd. Irfan took an oath of allegiance in favour of Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed Caliph of the ISIS, in the presence of accused Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani and Muzaffer Hussain Rizwan and he was given a Kuniya  name, Abu Jafar by Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani.

The Investigation agency had filed a chargesheet against 8 members including their leader Mohammad Ibrahim Yazdani on Dec 21.

Sources said that the explosives and arms were seized from the houses of the two brothers in Amannagar and Chatta Bazaar. Apart from these three, the NIA arrested  Mohammed Irfan aka Yaqus, 27, from Zahera Nagar, Mir Alam Mandi, and Habeeb Muhammmed, 32, from Yousuf Gulshan Colony, Hashamabad.
