According To A Health Bulletin Released By The Safdarjung Hospital, The Woman Is Still In A Very Critical Condition.

Unnao Rape survivor, who was set ablaze by five men while she was on her way to a court to attend the hearing, shifted to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Thursday. Before being put on ventilator, the woman has reportedly told his brother to get justice for her. In a very emotional conversation, the woman told his brother that she wanted to live and see her perpetrators being punished for their crime. "My sister told me that she wanted to live and those behind her suffering must be punished. She is 85 per cent burned and only god can save her now," her brother told News Nation.

"Whatever happens, they must be punished. Only doctors will tell when my sister will be fine. I reached the spot on the day of the incident. She was badly burned and I wrapped her in a shawl and called 100," he added.

According to a health bulletin released by the Safdarjung Hospital, the woman is still in a very critical condition. The hospital said that her vital organs were not stable and she was in an unconcious state.

On Thursday, the woman was on her way to attend the hearing in the rape case when five men, including the accused in the case, doused her with kerosene oil and set on fire. According to the details emerging through various reports, the woman ran for a kilometre shouting for help after being set on fire and called the ambulance herself.

After committing the crime, the accused were stayed at their home and arrested by the police. Interestingly, one of them recently got bail in the rape case. This was the third such incident in less than a fortnight where a woman was raped or sexually assaulted and then set on fire.
